Spring Lantern Festival - Chinease New Year 2008 Celebrations in Hong Kong (4)

Believe that almost every Chinese Culture city will celebrate this main festival - Spring Lantern Festival. Falling on the 15th day of the first lunar month, Lantern Festival is the first significant festival after Chinese New Year Spring Festival. During Spring Lantern Festival, people are eating the Yuan Xiao ( a kind of Decert make with stiky rice with special soup), so it's also called: Yuan Xiao Festival by local Chinese.

Spring Lantern Festival is a festival for families. The colorful lanterns and many other variety of activities apeal people of any ages like dancing, riddles with rewards, etc.

In Hong Kong, flower markets, restaurants, homes and parks are all filled with colourful lanterns in traditional designs as singles gather to play matchmaking games to determine who will be their lover!
